Delwin Carter
Founder & Research Supervisor
Delwin Carter directs the MIX Institute and oversees its research programs, student mentorship, and collaborative research initiatives. His work focuses on mixture modeling, longitudinal analysis, and methodological research examining how statistical models are implemented across applied research in the behavioral and social sciences..

Bill Nguyen
Lab Manager
Bill is interested in the methods—computational and introspective—used to investigate the brain and mind. He received his B.S. in psychological and brain sciences and B.A. in philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Lillia Krawiec
Research Assistant
Lillia is a former UCSB student, who graduated in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in psychological and brain sciences. They currently are planning to either pursue radiology certification or obtain a masters degree in human factors. In their free time, Lillia enjoys tabletop games, fencing, and reading.

Victoria Alvarado
Research Assistant
Victoria gradated with degree in Biopsychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Post-grad, she plans on either pursuing a graduate degree in clinical psychology or entering PA Schoo with a focus on women’s health. IN her free time, Victoria enjoys painting and reading.
