Methods Workshop Series

Workshops introducing students to advanced quantitative methods,
statistical modeling, and research methodology.

Methods Workshop Series

About the Methods Workshop Series

The MIX Institute workshop series provides training in quantitative methods used in behavioral and social science research. These workshops introduce students to statistical modeling approaches, analytic strategies, and methodological considerations used in contemporary research.

Workshops are designed to create opportunities for students to learn advanced quantitative methods while engaging with ongoing research within the Institute.

Workshop themes

Workshop Topic Areas

Mixture Modeling

Workshops introduce mixture modeling approaches such as latent class and latent profile analysis.

Longitudinal Modeling

Sessions explore statistical models used to examine change over time in behavioral and social science data.

Applied Data Analysis

Workshops demonstrate how statistical models are applied to real research datasets.

Research Methodology

Participants discuss analytic decisions, model interpretation, and methodological considerations.

Student Participation

Student Participation

Students participate in workshop sessions to develop methodological skills that support their research activities within the Institute.

Workshops create opportunities for students to engage with statistical models used in contemporary research while discussing methodological decisions and analytic strategies.
